This week saw the soil being leveled across the back garden, paths around the house laid out in stone as were the patio areas.
Bathrooms delivered on Tuesday - pity the plumbers didn't turn up as well. Thanks to the two Ian's and Kyle for helping move all upstairs.
Joiners have managed to get all doors hung throughout house and skirting and architrave on. They even managed to get handles and locks finished upstairs before finishing on Thursday for bank holiday weekend.
Thursday saw the arrival and fitting of fireplaces - see pictures below.
It's now Friday and NIE day again! I rang first thing in the morning to try and confirm their attendence - this they did, but it would be sometime after noon was the reply. Well they arrived around 2pm and to my amazement I knew one of the fitters - Sam Ewart, whose wife used to childmind Peter when he was a baby! A small world indeed. Well they worked very quickly and the electric was operational within the hour.
Then it was back to painting duties - we have now moved upstairs to start the bedrooms.
